Relationship with God



A relationship is the way in which two or more people or things are connected or the state of being connected.

What is our relationship with God?

In  the book of  Philippians 4:20 declares that; Now to our God and Father be glory forever and ever. Amen. The kind of relationship we share with God is that of a Father and His children. Just like a father has a crucial role to play in the lives of his children, so do children have a role to play in their father's life.

What are the roles?

  1. We need to be obedience.
  2. We need to acknowledge His efforts.
  3. We need to show our love towards Him.
To have a good relationship one needs to be ready to do the "loving sacrifice". There can't be a relationship without sacrifice.  For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. John 3:16  God sacrificed His only Son so we can have a relationship with Him.

 Can't you sacrifice your time for Him?
Can't you sacrifice your sinful nature for Him?
Can't you sacrifice your ego for Him?
Can't you sacrifice your jealous nature for Him?

Not only sacrifice but communication is also important in a Relationship. Communication maintains a relationship between us with God. When we pray with all our hearts. When we meditate the word of God we create a connection with Him. Being ready to speak our hearts out. Being open to God. When we mess up we run back to Him.

The LORD is near to all who call upon Him, To all who call upon Him in truth.  Psalm 145:18. One truth about this world, if you do not fight for your relationship with God, then you can't have a stable relationship with Him. Just like a child trust their father completely, knowing that whatever they ask the father, he will do or provide for them. We need to trust our Father (God) completely without any doubt, allowing Him to have full control over our lives.

Just like every father will do anything to make sure that His children are in the right path, God does the same. He does all things possible to make sure we are in a right path. He creates and allow situations so we learn to depend on Him and only Him.

Allow God to lead you. Depend on Him. Work hard for your relationship with Him. Trust me, this is the best decision you could ever make. Remain blessed and come back home(To the presence of God)

And if you haven't accepted Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior then say this prayer: Lord Jesus Christ, I have acknowledge your efforts. Thank you for dying for me on the cross. I believe that You resurrected after three days. I open up my heart today and I ask that You come and dwell in my life. I say no to my sinful life. I want to follow You and only You. I want a strong relationship with you. Thank you for the work of the cross. You are my Lord and Savior, in Jesus name I pray,amen.

who God is

Getting to know God God created you because He wants a relationship with you. He loves you. He wants you to know Him personally and intimately, not just know about Him. through God's written word (the bible) and through His only son (Jesus). God reveals that He wants you to enjoy a life that it's in line with His purpose and destiny for you. He wants to be a nurturing and powerful presence in your life, not just an idea in your head. Knowing Him means receiving  His love. Following Him means following His leadership. And let's tell it like it is: Accepting that leadership will affect you lifestyle.
